KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. - Outside the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility, the second Mars Exploration Rover (MER-1), in its shipping container, is moved inside. MER-2 and other hardware have already arrived at KSC for processing. MER-1 will begin prelaunch testing, including deployment of the lander petals, the rover's solar arrays, camera mast and camera. While at KSC, each of the rovers, their aeroshells and landers will undergo a full mission simulation.
