KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. - Outside the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility hardware related to the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) is offloaded from a transport vehicle. MER-1 will undergo prelaunch testing, including deployment of the lander petals, the rover's solar arrays, camera mast and camera. While at KSC, MER-1 and MER-2, their aeroshells and landers will undergo a full mission simulation.
