Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Foreign object debris shields are installed and a borescope inspection is conducted on the Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) spacecraft in the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility. On the right is the Pegasus launch vehicle from which it was demated. Technicians are looking for a small fastener and associated clip missing from a demated connector identified during preflight testing.
