Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the mobile service tower at Launch Pad 17-A on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, workers attach the upper second stage to the lower first stage of the Boeing Delta II launch vehicle. The rocket is the launch vehicle for the Swift spacecraft and its Gamma-Ray Burst Mission, now scheduled for liftoff Nov. 8. Swift is a medium-class Explorer mission managed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
