Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — External tank #120 rests on a transporter in NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Vehicle Assembly Building. The tank will be moved to the nearby Turn Basin and loaded onto the barge Pegasus for towing to NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana for additional modifications. This tank is the first of the newly designed tanks that were delivered to Kennedy. Previously, the tank was stacked with Discovery and, more recently, Atlantis.
