Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The Atlas V rocket with the New Horizons spacecraft on top sits waiting on the launch pad at Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The view is from the top of the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA Kennedy Space Center. Surrounding the launch vehicle are four lightning masts. The launch on this date was scrubbed due to high surface winds in the area and has been rescheduled for 1:16 p.m. EST Jan. 18.
