About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At NASA Kennedy Space Center, an alligator suns itself on the bank of a pond. American alligators feed and rest in the water, and lay their eggs in dens they dig into the banks. The young alligators spend their first several weeks in these dens. A protected species, alligators can be spotted in the drainage canals and other waters surrounding the Center.
