Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At the Astrotech Space Operations payload processing facility in Titusville, Fla., workers monitor the GOES-N satellite, secured inside a payload fairing, as it moves close to the work stands in a clean-room high bay area. Due to the extended length of time the spacecraft had been atop its Boeing Delta IV rocket without launching, the weather satellite has been returned to Astrotech for some precautionary retesting and state of health checks.
