Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations payload processing facility in Titusville, Fla., the GOES-N spacecraft sits on the workstand after removal of the first half of the fairing, suspended at right. The second half remains behind it. Workers are using the stand to detach the fairing from around the spacecraft. Workers will use the stand to begin detaching the fairing from around the spacecraft.
