About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — This black bird photographed at the Press Site at NASA's Kennedy Space Center is likely a fish crow, somewhat smaller than the American Crow. Fish crows inhabit low coastal country, as well as lakes, rivers and swamps inland. They are common around KSC. The Center shares a boundary with the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, which is a habitat for more than 310 species of birds, 25 mammals, 117 fishes and 65 amphibians and reptiles.
