About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the STEREO observatory "A" is ready for solar array deployment and high-gain antenna tests. STEREO, which stands for Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory, consists of two spacecraft whose mission is to take measurements of the sun and solar wind in 3-D, for the first time. This new view will improve our understanding of space weather and its impact on the Earth.
