About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the solar panel on the STEREO observatory "A" has been deployed for testing. STEREO, which stands for Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory, consists of two spacecraft whose mission is to take measurements of the sun and solar wind in 3-D, for the first time. This new view will improve our understanding of space weather and its impact on the Earth.
