About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the hazardous processing facility at Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., technicians check Observatory A before lifting onto a scale for weight measurements. The observatory is one of two in the STEREO spacecraft and later will be fueled. STEREO stands for Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory. The STEREO mission is the first to take measurements of the sun and solar wind in 3-dimension.
