Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the transfer aisle of the Vehicle Assembly Building, Atlantis seems to float above the floor as it is suspended by an overhead crane and sling. The orbiter will be raised to a vertical position and then will be lifted into high bay 3 for stacking with the external tank and solid rocket boosters already installed on the mobile launcher platform.
