About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the STEREO payload is ready for mating to the upper stage booster. Here, a crane is being attached to the spacecraft to lift it. After the mating, all will be transported to Launch Pad 17-B at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for integration with the Delta II already on the pad. STEREO stands for Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory and comprises two spacecraft.
