Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the transporter carrying the STEREO spacecraft is secured to the truck that will transport it to Launch Pad 17-B on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. At the pad, the spacecraft will be lifted into the mobile service tower. STEREO stands for Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory and comprises two spacecraft. The STEREO mission is the first to take measurements of the sun and solar wind in 3-dimension.
