Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — A view of the nose cone of the orbiter Discovery in the Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3 before it rolls out for the short move to the Vehicle Assembly Building. First motion was at 9:23 p.m. Oct. 31. In the VAB the orbiter will be mated to its large external tank and twin solid rocket boosters already stacked on the mobile launcher platform. Space Shuttle Discovery is scheduled to roll out to Launch Pad 39B no earlier than Nov. 7 for mission STS-116.
