Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Suspended by the overhead crane, the container with the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) remote manipulator system inside approaches its designated site (lower right) in the Space Station Processing Facility. The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency developed the laboratory known as "Kibo" (Hope) and includes an exposed facility (platform) for space environment experiments, the RMS and two logistics modules.
