Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility at Kennedy Space Center, workers dressed in clean-room garb begin removing the protective wrapping from around the Phoenix spacecraft. The Phoenix mission is the first project in NASA's first openly competed program of Mars Scout missions.
