KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. --In the White Room on Launch Pad 39A, STS-118 Mission Specialist Rick Mastracchio is eager to enter Space Shuttle Endeavour for a simulated launch countdown, the culmination of terminal countdown demonstration test activities. The White Room is situated at the end of the orbiter access arm and provides entry into the orbiter. TCDT activities also include M-113 training, payload familiarization and emergency egress training at the pad.
