About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the Launch Complex 39 Area turn basin at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the crane crawler is being used to lift pilings from a barge. The pilings will be used to help construct new lightning towers on Launch Pad 39B for the Constellation Program and Ares/Orion launches. Pad B will be the site of the first Ares vehicle launch, including Ares I-X which is scheduled for April 2009.
