Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, a technician monitors the movement of the external tank as it is lifted out of the checkout cell. The tank will be lifted into high bay 1 for mating with the solid rocket boosters, or SRBs, already installed on the mobile launcher platform.
