CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- In the Vertical Integration Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, technicians monitor the rotation of the payload canister to a vertical position. The canister contains the Japanese Experiment Module -Pressurized Module. The canister will be transported to Launch Pad 39A for space shuttle Discovery’s STS-124 mission. At the pad, the payload will be transferred from the canister into the payload changeout room on the rotating service structure.
