CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- After rotation in the Vertical Integration Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the payload canister is lowered vertically onto the payload canister transporter. The canister contains the Japanese Experiment Module -Pressurized Module, which will be transported to Launch Pad 39A for space shuttle Discovery’s STS-124 mission. At the pad, the payload will be transferred from the canister into the payload changeout room on the rotating service structure.
