CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman (left) gets a close look at a crawler-transporter with Perry Becker, chief of the Shuttle Grounds Structural Branch, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Unlike his winning race car, the maximum speed of a crawler is 2 mph unloaded. Newman is visiting Kennedy in honor of NASA's 50th anniversary and the 50th running of NASCAR's Daytona 500 in February.
