CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At the dock at Hangar AF at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, workers prepare to move the spent solid rocket booster to the hangar for the safing process. It will be driven through the washing bay for a cleaning and rinsing. The booster is from space shuttle Endeavour, which launched Nov. 14 on the STS-126 mission. The space shuttle’s solid rocket booster casings and associated flight hardware are recovered at sea.
