CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At the Astrotech payload processing facility in Titusville, Fla., the protective shipping cover has been removed from the GOES-O satellite. GOES-O will undergo final testing of the imaging system, instrumentation, communications and power systems. The latest Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite, GOES-O was developed by NASA for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA.
