CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the third and final main engine has been removed from space shuttle Discovery. Engine removal is part of the post-landing processing. Discovery completed the STS-119 mission March 28 with a landing at Kennedy's Shuttle Landing Facility. Each engine is 14 feet long, weighs about 6,700 pounds, and is 7.5 feet in diameter at the end of the nozzle.
