CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In the Rotation, Processing, and Surge Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Ares I-X aft skirt is mated to the aft segment (at right). At left is a stack of segments of a solid rocket booster for a shuttle. The launch of Ares I-X is targeted for August 2009.
