CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Ares I-X forward center segment approaches the Vehicle Assembly Building, or VAB, after leaving the Rotation, Processing and Surge Facility. The launch vehicle is being assembled in the VAB's High Bay 3.
