CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At the Apollo/Saturn V Center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell is introduced during NASA's 40th Anniversary of Apollo Celebration of the July 1969 launch and landing on the moon. He was joined by seven others involved in the program. Mitchell walked on the moon on the Apollo 14 mission in 1971 and was backup lunar module pilot for Apollo 16.
