CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In the Vehicle Assembly Building's High Bay 3 at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Development Flight Instrumentation, or DFI, is mounted on the interior wall of the upper stage simulator of the 327-foot-tall Ares I-X rocket. More than 700 sensors will gather data during the two-and-a-half minute flight test.
