CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, space shuttle Atlantis, secured to its mobile launcher platform, slowly rolls past the Launch Control Center. First motion out of the Vehicle Assembly Building was at 6:38 a.m. EDT Oct. 14. The 3.4-mile trip, known as rollout, is expected to take about six hours. Liftoff of Atlantis on its STS-129 mission to the International Space Station is targeted for Nov. 12.
