CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, a crawler-transporter safely delivers space shuttle Endeavour into position beside the fixed service structure on Launch Pad 39A. First motion on the 3.4-mile trip from the Vehicle Assembly Building, known as rollout, was at 4:13 a.m. EST Jan. 6. Endeavour was secure or "hard down" on the pad at 10:37 a.m. Rollout is a significant milestone in launch processing activities.
