About this work
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- A technician exits the intertank of space shuttle Discovery's external fuel tank holding the film used to project computed radiography scans. The shuttle stack was moved from Launch Pad 39A to the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida so technicians could examine 21-foot-long support beams, called stringers, on the outside of the tank's intertank and re-apply foam insulation.
