CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Orbiter Processing Facility-1 (OPF-1) is ready to receive space shuttle Discovery, parked outside the hangar door. Until this morning, shuttle Endeavour was undergoing decommissioning activities in the bay. Endeavour temporarily is being placed in storage in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). Both shuttles stopped briefly outside OPF-3 for a "nose-to-nose" photo opportunity.
