About this work

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – The flame trench at Launch Pad 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida endured significant flames, vibrations and other stresses during the space shuttle era. Heading into the future, designers are looking for new, flame and vibration-resistant materials to line the trench.
