CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Inside Orbiter Processing Facility-2 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians monitor the progress as a large crane lifts the remote manipulator system (RMS) robotic arm high above space shuttle Atlantis’ payload bay. The RMS will be transported to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston for possible use on future spaceflights. The work is part of the Space Shuttle Program’s transition and retirement processing of shuttle Atlantis.
