CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Space shuttle Atlantis backs toward the open door of the transfer aisle of the 525-foot-tall Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Atlantis is being moved to the VAB from Orbiter Processing Facility-2. Atlantis will be stored temporarily in the VAB while transition and retirement processing resumes on shuttle Endeavour in the processing hangar.
