CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Before daybreak at the Shuttle Landing Facility at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the team responsible for the handling of space shuttle Discovery receives a briefing at the mate-demate device. Discovery was moved from the Vehicle Assembly Building yesterday, but out-of-parameter winds at the landing facility required that operations to lift it onto a Shuttle Carrier Aircraft be suspended for the day.
