CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In Orbiter Processing Facility-2 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, United Space Alliance manager Walter “Buddy” McKenzie monitors the consoles on space shuttle Endeavour’s flight deck as operations to power down the shuttle for the final time get under way. Endeavour is being prepared for public display at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. Its ferry flight to California is targeted for mid-September.
