CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Preparations are under way in the early morning hours for the barge transporting the high-fidelity space shuttle model to depart from the turn basin at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for Space Center Houston, NASA Johnson Space Center’s official visitor center. The turn basin is in the heart of Launch Complex 39 where the shuttles were processed and launched. Kennedy’s Launch Control Center and the Vehicle Assembly Building are prominent in the background.
