VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- On the runway at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, the Orbital Sciences L-1011 carrier aircraft is readied for flight. Once the Pegasus XL rocket with NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array NuSTAR spacecraft is attached, the L-1011 will fly to the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site at the Pacific Ocean’s Kwajalein Atoll.
