About this work
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, a crane is used to load a space shuttle solid rocket booster on trucks for transport to California. The solid rocket boosters, or SRBs, will be displayed at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The 149-foot SRBs together provided six million pounds of thrust. The work is part of Transition and Retirement of the space shuttle.
