About this work
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Employees stand watch as space shuttle Endeavour, fitted with an aerodynamic tail cone, backs out of the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The spacecraft moved to the nearby Shuttle Landing Facility, where it will be lifted in the gantry-like Mate-Demate Device and placed atop NASA's modified 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft for the final ferry flight of the Space Shuttle Program.
