CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Preparations are under way to lift space shuttle Endeavour into the mate-demate device as the sun rises over the Shuttle Landing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The shuttle will be positioned and connected to the top of NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft with the aid of the device. The shuttle has been fitted with an aerodynamic tailcone for its upcoming ferry flight.
