CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – At NASA’s Protective Services Training Academy at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, two members of the Emergency Response Team, or ERT, participate in specialized training simulations in order to keep their skills current as a training supervisor monitors the procedures. They are wearing full protective gear and carrying non-lethal firearms, which are denoted in blue, for the training exercises.
