SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Workers prepare the Orion boilerplate test vehicle to be offloaded from the well deck of the USS Anchorage at Naval Base San Diego following completion of Underway Recovery Test 3 in the Pacific Ocean. NASA, Lockheed Martin and U.S. Navy personnel conducted the recovery test using the test vehicle to prepare for recovery of the Orion crew module on its return from a deep space mission.
