About this work

Plant debris left behind by Hurricane Matthew covers a stretch of the NASA Railroad near Launch Pads 39A and B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A portion of the line near the ocean was used during the Apollo era, although some portions were used to deliver commodities to the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station through the end of the Titan program. NASA determined it was financially and ecologically advantageous to leave the tracks in place.
