About this work
In the Space Station Processing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians and engineers removed protective wrapping from the ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS). ECOSTRESS is designed to monitor one of the most basic processes in living plants: the loss of water through the tiny pores in leaves.
